ReelRunner is a locally-installed application that runs on your own computer. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data — including application configurations, OAuth tokens, publish history, and video files — is stored exclusively on your local machine.
ReelRunner integrates with the following third-party services via their official APIs:
TikTok (ByteDance Ltd.) — When you connect your TikTok account, an OAuth access token is stored locally (encrypted). Video uploads use TikTok's Content Posting API. See TikTok's Privacy Policy.
Instagram / Meta Platforms, Inc. — When you connect your Instagram account, an OAuth access token is stored locally (encrypted). Video uploads use Instagram's Graph API. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
DeepSeek (Beijing DeepSeek Technology Co., Ltd.) — Caption requests are sent to DeepSeek's API with app metadata only (no personal data). See DeepSeek's API Documentation.
All data resides on your local machine: OAuth tokens are encrypted using AES-256-GCM. No video files or personal information leave your computer except as required to publish content to the platforms you configure.
The built-in web panel may set a session cookie for authentication purposes when accessed remotely. No tracking or analytics cookies are used.
Since all data is stored locally, you have full control: delete any data by removing files from the data/ folder. Disconnect accounts at any time via the web panel.
