By installing, accessing, or using ReelRunner ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Software.
ReelRunner is a self-hosted social media video publishing platform that allows users to schedule, manage, and publish short-form video content to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook via each platform's official API. The Software runs locally on the user's own computer or server and does not rely on any ReelRunner-operated cloud infrastructure.
ReelRunner is provided as-is for personal or business use. Subject to these Terms, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and run the Software on your own hardware. Redistribution, resale, sublicensing, or modification of the Software without explicit permission is prohibited.
You are solely responsible for complying with the Terms of Service and Community Guidelines of all platforms you use with ReelRunner, including but not limited to:
ReelRunner uses only official, documented APIs provided by these platforms. Using the Software does not guarantee compliance with platform policies — you must ensure your content and posting behavior meet each platform's rules and guidelines.
When using ReelRunner with YouTube, you acknowledge and agree that:
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your social media accounts. ReelRunner stores OAuth tokens locally in encrypted form (AES-256-GCM). You should never share your access tokens, configuration files, or the data/ directory with untrusted parties.
All video content, captions, hashtags, thumbnails, and metadata published through ReelRunner are your sole responsibility. The AI-generated captions (powered by DeepSeek) are suggestions only — you should review all AI-generated content before publishing. ReelRunner does not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness, originality, or effectiveness of AI-generated content. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe on third-party intellectual property rights.
ReelRunner operates within the rate limits and quotas imposed by each platform's API. Publishing behavior is subject to these limits. ReelRunner is not responsible for API changes, deprecations, or rate limit adjustments made by TikTok, Meta, Google, or other platforms that may affect functionality.
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. REELRUNNER DOES NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION, ERROR-FREE PERFORMANCE, OR COMPATIBILITY WITH FUTURE PLATFORM API VERSIONS.
IN NO EVENT SHALL REELRUNNER OR ITS DEVELOPERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: ACCOUNT SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION, CONTENT REMOVAL, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR LOSS OF FOLLOWERS.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ReelRunner and its developers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Software, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any third-party platform's terms.
ReelRunner integrates with TikTok API, Instagram Graph API, Facebook Graph API, YouTube Data API v3, and DeepSeek API. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. ReelRunner is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok (ByteDance Ltd.), Instagram / Facebook / WhatsApp (Meta Platforms, Inc.), YouTube (Google LLC), or DeepSeek (Beijing DeepSeek Technology Co., Ltd.).
These Terms may be updated at any time. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
